Jessica

Jessica is a Richmond native with a passion for adventure and new experiences. She holds a M.Ed. in Education and a B.A. in Communication Studies from JMU (which explains why she likes to talk so much!). Right after college, Jessica moved to south Florida to work for a cluster of local radio stations as Promotions Coordinator. She loved being outdoors working special events, and soon found herself working outdoors every day at a Disney resort as a cast member in the Recreation department. Being part of the magic of Disney was a truly awesome experience for Jess, and being there helped her realize that leading children and families in fun activities was something she was good at! She became interested in using those skills in a classroom and began volunteering at a local beachside elementary school. She decided to move back home to Richmond Va and pursue a teaching career. All Saints Catholic School was the first to welcome Jessica as part of the staff in 2016. While she was taking classes in Regent University, she taught Technology, Drama, and Finance for 3 years and completed her M.Ed in Special Education K-12. Currently, Jessica is the lead Exceptional Ed teacher at All Saints and loves her Knight family.

Jessica married her high school sweetheart, Tyler, in 2017 and now lives in the west end of Richmond with hubby and a sweet cat named Luna. As a lifelong learner, she enjoys taking classes in new skills often, the latest of which being her Wilderness First Aid training, clay sculpting, and hip hop dance. Working with Ascent allows Jessica’s passion for teaching children in the outdoors pair perfectly with her passion for exploration. Let the adventure begin!
