High School Summer Adventure Trips 2020 - Co-Ed
Adventure trips are based from Richmond Va. Each adventure typically has a max of 12 participants. Participant to leader ratio is 1 to 6 at full capacity with one male and female staff. A typical day with Ascent includes an adventure activity, a skill session learning camping basics, a devotion or reflection including journaling. With adventuring, there’s no typical day - we adapt to a variety of challenges and changes ranging from traffic to weather. That’s why it’s called adventure, right?
Adventure Trips are broken into 3 sections: Prep Day in RVA: Overnight Trip: Return Day
*Food provided for trip. Camping and adventure materials are provided (ex. tents, surf/SUP boards). Participants responsible for clothing/shoes and sleeping bags (though Ascent can rent bags/sleeping pads too).

Self Support JR Expedition - $650
June 14-20 (7 Day, 5 Night)
Focus: SUP . Fly Fishing . Self Support Camping
Grade Request: Rising 9th Grade - Rising 10th
Join Ascent on an adventure that no other adventure company offers. Class I & II rapids with everything your team needs strapped to Stand Up Paddle-boards. Camping under the stars only, cooking hot meals and waking up to the beautiful James River. This is going to be a ridiculous trip! Reeling in a small mouth bass or better yet a crew of batteaux pass by on their annual trip from Lynchburg to Richmond. The adventure is the discovery of simply what can be done on SUP’s - who wants to make history? This trip will be documented for Ascent’s board rep - Badfish SUP based in Salida Co.

OBX Adventure Trip - $650
June 24-30 (7 Day, 5 Night)
Focus: Surf . SUP . Surf Fishing . Beach Camping
Grade Request: Rising 9th -Rising 10th
“Surfing’s the source. Can change your life. Swear to God.” Bohdi (Point Break). Surfing with Ascent is the complete day: wake, Eat, Surf, Game, Eat, Surf, Game and Sleep. This year, Ascent is “sending it” for our surf trip. Oregon Inlet, just south of Hatteras on the NC coast, provides waves for beginners to experienced surfers. OI will be little mix of everything. We’ve gotta have a pizza night at the beach and how can we not tour some lighthouses. But I’m excited to head out into the sound for an evening sunset SUP trip. Join Ascent on an amazing OBX adventure trip and see if surfing can change your life…swear to God.
